Discover the joy of slowing down and observing the beauty of the natural world through watercolour.
In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the gentle art of watercolour painting as you learn essential basics and a selection of creative techniques, all explored through the lens of flowers and botanical forms.
Together, we'll experiment with washes, wet-on-wet, layering, mark-making, and simple botanical strokes ~ embracing play, softness, and imperfection along the way. With fresh flowers and foliage set up to observe, alongside some inspiration pieces, you'll learn to translate the curves and colours of nature onto paper.
You'll then apply these techniques to paint a set of botanical studies, framing your favourite piece right there in the workshop to take home ready to hang.
This workshop is designed to feel like a creative pause ~ slow, soothing, exploratory, and grounding. Whether you're brand new to watercolour or already enjoy painting, you're welcome here.
Come create something meaningful from the little techniques and moments that turn paper into art.
